Renata Montenegro participated in the World Press Photo Instagram Takeover as a way of promoting the 2025 World Press Photo Contest.

Last year, only 23% of the entries received were by women or non/ binary photographers. We would like to offer a balanced representation of the world and welcome a multiplicity of voices to enter the contest.
